New startup SceneTap allows you to check out the bar scene in real time. About fifty bars have already signed on to the service, which consists of in-bar video cameras that will broadcast the scene via the web to your phone via the SceneTap app. So you’ll be able to actually see the interior of the bar or club before you leave your home.

What does this mean for the single male? SceneTap will enable us to get an immediate and accurate reading of a bar’s ratio of women to men so that we can easily avoid the proverbial Sausage Fest. Now all we need is a plugin that will allow us to see which gal’s are single and which are married.
