If only we still had this sense of community. The video below shows a thief in Chile that was publicly beaten and stripped naked by a few angry and concerned citizens. No police involved. Just the hand of the community regulating itself with a combo of pain and humiliation.

And here’s a pic of a robber that was caught stealing from homes in Peru. The neighbors caught him and tied him to the pole for the afternoon until the police arrived. Meantime they beat his ass with switches (I still don’t now what a switch is – I prefer light sabers).
I wish we could bring back the ol’ Tar and Feather routine cuz this stuff will never happen in America again. As a community we’re no longer permitted to drop the hammer of citizen justice. Instead the thief would most likely escape and the news would show some awful in-store video surveillance in which NOBODY is recognizable. Even if they caught him at the scene the police wouldn’t be permitted to humiliate or even give the criminal a nice deserving beating. Lastly, the criminal would be given – for free – a lawyer that would assist him in filing the paperwork to present a complete LIE to a jury of his peers in an attempt to get away with the crime. And that last process would cost the public thousands of tax dollars and only result in a fifty percent chance he’d actually go to prison for his transgression. Yay America! That’s the way you do it! And they wonder why we don’t want to serve Jury Duty. (Btw have any of you seen me perform my Jury Duty joke? I’ll post a video of it asap.)
