While growing up in Massachusetts, Jonesy seemed to have a talent for playing wiffleball. Upon finding out there’s professional wiffleball league he began dabbling in the world of entertainment. Starting with breakdancing at school talent shows, then singing in a Boston area cover band called The Carlton Fisk Homers, eventually moving to stand-up comedy.
Opportunity came when Jonesy was fired from his bill-collecting job for apartment hunting on Craigslist NYC. That summer he moved to New York City and where continued performing his stand-up comedy act at clubs like Gotham, Standup NY, and the Comic Strip. In 2005 a well-known New York Casting Director saw his act and referred him to one of the top talent agencies in the city where he was quickly signed.
Since then Jonesy has been a principal actor in numerous national television shows and commercials, voice overs, and Independent Films. He wrote and directed an off-broadway play and is the founder of the comedy show Hostile Comedy which is a weekly show that’s run for seven years. In 2011 he was brought on as a producer of the Fantasy Alarm Show on Sirius XM Radio, where he showcase his comedy sports writing. On the singing front, Jonesy just left the Red Hot Chili Pepper coverband, Pepperspray, and is now singing in a Funk and R&B band called Boogiefreak.
He continues to perform in the nation’s top comedy clubs and festivals. And though it’s not wiffleball, he keeps the dream alive by playing for several NYC softball teams.
